15th May 2016
We have been celebrating the success of a dedicated team who laced up their running shoes to take part in the Chester Half Marathon on Sunday 15th May.
Jason Rossington, Nikki Molyneux and Tom Haynes from The White Eagle joined nine of their colleagues from across 16 Hospitality to tackle the 13.1 mile course around the city.
Teams from the company’s four sites in Cheshire and Anglesey, as well as its head office, were raising money on behalf of their chosen charity, Home-Start. Over the past few months, they have been hard at work fundraising for the event with the total raised at almost £5000, and counting.
The money will be used to support families who are reaching breaking point because of isolation, bereavement, illness, poverty and other challenging issues.
Speaking about the event, Nikki said: “I’m really proud to have completed the half marathon and for the team to have raised so much money for Home-Start. The money is going to a really worthwhile cause and will go a long way to offer some support to less fortunate families.
“The support we have had from locals at The White Eagle has been incredible and we really appreciate their generosity- I know that The Oyster Catcher team feels the same. It definitely motivated us when things got tough out on the course!”
