Staff at The White Eagle in Rhoscolyn, Anglesey have been celebrating as the pub has been included in both CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide and Michelin’s Eating Out in Pubs Guide for the third year running.
The awards are based respectively on the quality of the ales on tap and the excellent dining experience it offers.
The White Eagle is one of only 19 pubs to be selected in Wales and the only pub on Anglesey to be included in the Michelin guide, which recommends more than 590 pubs from across the UK.
Out of more than 50,000 pubs in Britain, only 4,500 of the finest outlets for real ale are chosen for inclusion in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide, which are selected by local CAMRA members and often as a result of recommendations from readers regarding the quality of the resident ales on offer.
Adrienne Owen, General Manager of The White Eagle, said: “We are all very proud to be included in both the CAMRA Guide and the Michelin Guide. As a pub, these are two of the most prestigious accolades you can receive, so we’re absolutely thrilled all of our hard has been recognised.
“The selection of resident ales that we have on tap come from respected local breweries on both sides of the border, such as Conwy, Weetwood, Great Orme and Marstons, and are always popular with regulars and visitors alike.
“Within the last few weeks we have launched our new menu which has been carefully designed by our dedicated team of chefs. It is full of original dishes and classic pub favourites, and utilises the fantastic local produce found right here in Anglesey.”
